The Discovery Prep School is focused on providing a student-centered, compassionate education framed in a project-based, college preparatory environment. We are seeing amazing growth happening in our students each year. We are seeing students becoming Independent, creative, critical thinkers from inquiry-based learning. Students that are Confident, open-minded, compassionate actions and attitudes from collaboration and cooperative learning experiences. The Discovery Prep School helps to develop each student’s unique and innate talents through free choice and project-based learning. Admissions Process
We strive to make the admissions process as stress free and fun as possible! The Admissions Department is here to help guide you through step by step, so you don’t have to go it alone.
Our Admissions process is as simple as 3 steps:
Speak with our Admissions Department to schedule your student’s Discovery Day.
After the student attends a Discovery Day, the Admissions Department will send an email with a link to complete the application. Within the application there will be a link to the teacher recommendations that will need to be sent to the student’s English and Math teacher.
The Admissions Committee will review the documents and then notify the family of the admission decision.
* The Discovery Prep School accepts applications on a rolling basis. We believe that the decision of enrolling at a new school may not fit into specific calendar deadlines. We want to be able to meet our new families where they are instead of creating barriers to admissions.
* Mid-Year Transfer Students: The Discovery Prep School does accept mid-year transfers based on the grade and availability of needed classes. If you are interested in transferring your student to The Discovery Prep School mid-school year, please contact the admissions office directly to discuss the personalized available options for your student.
Tuition

The Discovery Prep School strives to provide tremendous value for the financial investment that families make to our school. Each year, we make careful considerations of our tuition and fees to be able to provide experiences of a lifetime and remain fiscally responsible.
We are committed to providing the financial assistance necessary to ensure we are enrolling the best students and families. Plain and simple: If you can contribute to our community, then we want you here.
This means that regardless of your financial situation, a Discovery Prep education is completely within reach. And that includes most expeditions, art labs, and fitness classes, the cost of which is included in tuition.

Comprehensive college counseling, all academics, books and lab fees, athletics/non-membership fitness electives, art classes, and materials, most field trips, club dues, and local, week-long Spring Expeditions (excludes national and international trips).
